Remember this movie back in 2006 - The Lake House? Probably the best romance movie I've ever watched. Love love love the chemistry between Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. I remembered tearing in the cinema and my friend had to pass me tissues. Hah. Not to mention the awesome OST; likes of Paul McCartney, Carole King and the trailer track by one of my favourite bands : Keane (Somewhere Only We Know).

Watching the re-run on Channel5 now as I type this. I can watch this again and again and still find it nice. Each time, the story brings a different feeling.

Kate : Ridiculous. For argument's sake, what day is it there?
Alex : April 14th, 2004.
Kate : No. It's April 14th, 2006.
Alex : It's the same day two years apart.

BAHHHH. And if I were to play devil's advocate, seriously, this kind of longing/love/unphysical feeling for another just seems quite the impossible. It's worse than a long distance relationship. At the very least, in a LDR, you know your partner's real. But in the lake house, it was no guarantee that Kate and Alex would one day ever meet. Test of true love? How long can one wait for someone? How much real can one feel for another?

Kayy, gonna get ready my box of tissue and munch on an egg tart.




p/s : I chanced upon Persuasion by Jane Austen (the book that Kate was telling Alex about) the other day at MPH. Maybe one day, when I need a tear-jerker, it'll be perfect for a good read.
