See my smiley face. Teehee.

Indeed. A personal achievement. :D

Despite this. =( I realized that my foot got even more swollen after the run. Ouch max.

My marathon pics are damn chui. I look like a ball in that unflattering top. Just ignore that pic. hur hur.

Pic below taken after I crossed the finish line. Teared a little.. Actually, my tears already fell at the 33km mark...I was like 'omggg my leg hurts so bad...when will this end..' and stopped to rest countless of times during the last 10km. There were in fact, many participants who gave up at the last stretch and ended up waiting for buses to pick them to the finish point.

To be honest, I was struggling like mad too. As I was psycho-ing myself to move and take one step at a time, my mind came up with all sorts of excuses on why I should just give up and go home. With every excuse, I rationalized it with the ecstasy I'll get after crossing the finishing line.

It was then that my mind kept flashing images of 强's surprise text msg :) , Yuanfen's "warning" that I MUST complete the race, my mum's 'I love you, don't force yourself if you can't' before I left the house, Kaibin who jokingly dissed and said I won't be able to complete it ( yes Shifu I know you'll read this =p ) and all the well wishes pre-marathon I received either on FB or sms.

Thank you. You guys played a huge part in keeping me going.

I came from not being able to complete 2 rounds around the stadium in March, to being super crazy in June'10 signing up for Stand Chart 2010 to attending 10km runs and finally completing the full 26.2miles. Some say after running their first marathon, they will never do it again. I thought otherwise. Marathon again? BRING IT ON.

Beat the Sunrise, Sundown 2011-I will train for personal best under 6hrs.

"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."
