Black Day (April 14) is a South Korean informal tradition for single people to get together and eat jajangmyeon(noodles with black bean sauce); sometimes a white sauce is mixed for those who did not celebrate White Day. The idea is that those who did not give or receive gifts on Valentines' Day (Feb14) or White Day(Mar14) can get together and eat jajangmyeong to celebrate their singledom.
Was supposed to drop by my friend-Ji-Hye's family restaurant today and have the black bean noodles but I decided to bail on the friend I initially planned lunch with. Meaningless to go and celebrate 'black bean sauce noodles day' if the friend that you are eating with most definitely celebrated Vday. J confirm laugh at my silliness for following such traditions.
Oh ya, since I'm at it, might as well do a mini advert for my korean friend. Manna Story- authentic korean cuisine, family restaurant style located at Basement, Plaza Singapura. Yeapp, owned by her family. Ji Hye-sshi actually told me that she won't be heeding back to Seoul anytime soon coz of the recent opening of the restaurant. Gotta help out eh.

Since today is supposedly a singles' day, I've the privilege to moan about my singlehood but bitching over the unchangeable fact is redundant. Besides I've got other stuff to be happy about. Oh oh, and ZP's attached! So happy for him. See, rather than cooing over the obvious fact of 'oh-i-am-so-bloody-single', might as well rejoice for my friend's new found happiness. =)
And I'm serious. I've got a lot more stuff to be smiley over.
