Just thought I'll share with you the first paragraph of the paper I've to hand in by 16th July. Chui lohh. I don't even have an outline of the thesis YET.

Thesis : The act of selflessness is the zenith of life.

"We are formed and molded by our thoughts. Those whose minds are shaped by selfless thoughts give joy when they speak or act. Joy follows them like a shadow that never leaves them." (Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.) In a world where everyone hold themselves as sole priority, where people take basic needs for granted and endlessly chase after materialistic gains, an act of pure selflessness is a definite rare sight. Those who are poor, are rich in virtues of compassion and gratitude to those within their community. On the other hand, abundance seem to breed selfishness, consuming magnanimity, causing us to think and care less about others. How many of us actually foster thoughts of giving unconditionally? Is it possible for man to be completely selfless?

If you can't already tell, I'm still at the stage of frantic researching and am trying to conquer a writer's block. How to provide a good argument for this paper ah?! How how how!

Kayy. Afternoon lesson. Ciao.
